Hybrid Solar System

A Hybrid Solar System combines the features of both on-grid and off-grid solar systems, allowing solar energy to power appliances while also being connected to the electricity grid and using battery storage. It generates electricity from solar panels, supplies power to the home or business and stores excess energy in batteries for later use. When solar production is low, the system can draw power from the grid or stored battery energy, ensuring a continuous supply. Hybrid systems provide greater energy independence to reduce electricity bills through net metering and offer backup power during outages. They are ideal for areas with unreliable grid supply or users who want both cost savings and energy security.

Working Process:

  • Solar Energy Generation – Solar panels absorb sunlight and convert it into direct current (DC) electricity using the photovoltaic effect.
  • DC to AC Conversion – A solar inverter converts the DC electricity from solar panels into AC power, making it usable for homes and businesses.
  • Energy Distribution & Storage –The electricity first powers appliances, with extra energy stored in batteries or sent to the grid through net metering.
  • Smart Power Management – During the low solar output or outages, the system uses battery or grid power for an uninterrupted supply.
